Setting up a Product Type

This guide takes you through the process of creating new product type:

1. Access the Product Type from the Setup menu

A list of all system types are displayed, these types are protected from modifications and deletion.

2. Click Add Product Type
3. The new product type window appears
• Type enter a unique product type name
• Abbreviation enter a unique abbreviation
4. Click Save

Deleting or Updating Product Type

To update product type, click the Edit button.

To delete product type, click the Delete button. Product type can not be deleted if it has been used Invoices, Products, Purchases, etc.

System types are protected and can not be updated or deleted
